About us
CARBON Climate Protection (CCP) is a Joint Venture between CARBON Projektentwicklung and RWE Power.
Our mission is the identification, design, financing, implementation and operation of economically viable climate protection projects under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Joint Implementation (JI).
Our asset is our staff. We combine comprehensive engineering and business expertise with extensive project management experience. The Joint Venture between CARBON Projektentwicklung - leading in the design of N2O destruction projects - and RWE Power - belonging to the RWE Group, one of Europe's leading integrated electricity and gas companies - makes CARBON Climate Protection a sound and reliable counterparty. We have access to the particular skills, experiences, strengths and networks of both parties. CARBON Projektentwicklung is leading in the development and implementation of CDM projects, including the crucial development of new methodologies. Thanks to RWE's broad portfolio of energy-related activities, we have comprehensive engineering expertise in-house. This provides us with distinctive competitive advantages - for increasing project value.
We offer to co-operate with plant operators and project developers to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O) and other greenhouse gases under a CDM or JI project activity. We are willing to participate in CDM and JI activities as project development and investment party. Moreover, we share our knowledge with project hosts and developers in terms of providing global consultancy services throughout the entire CDM or JI process.
